Sanitation

All our yacths are sanitized before each check-in with an Ozone treatment

Ozone is a gas composed by trivalent oxygen (O3). It naturally forms in the atmosphere thanks to the electrical discharges of lightning during storms and at high altitudes thanks to the action of ultraviolet solar rays.

It is a powerful oxidant that can be used for cleaning and sanitizing objects and environments.

Ozone is able to eliminate any polluting or harmful element such as viruses, mites, insects, spores, molds, harmful chemicals and even smoke and smells, all in a totally natural way.

Furthermore, being a gas heavier than air, it manages to act even in the most hidden and difficult to reach areas, impossible to thoroughly sanitize with a classic cleaning.

The sanitizing power of Ozone is greater than that of chlorine and the most common chemical detergents.

The Ozone treatment is a completely safe method.

Being an unstable gas, a few minutes after use, the Ozone released into the environment transforms into normal Oxygen, without leaving any type of trace or chemical residue, without leaving unpleasant smell or stains on the fabrics.

Italian and European Legislation

The Italian Ministry of Health recognizes Ozone as “natural protection for the sterilization of environments contaminated by bacteria, viruses, spores, etc.” (protocol No. 24482 of 31/07/1996).
The Ministry of Health with CNSA of 21/10/2010 also recognized the use of ozone in the treatment of air and water as a disinfectant and disinfestant agent.

Used since 2003 for disinfection and sterilization in water bottling processes, it is regulated for food purposes by Directive 2003/40 / EC of the EFSA commission of May 16, 2003.
